Attended the Farm Feast last evening and I can say, with conviction, that it was really superb. The feast was focused upon pasture fed free range chicken from Redwoods Farm. The cookery was brilliant with presentation that delighted the eyes and flavours that excited the palette. Please see photos attached. The Feast was extremely good value for money and the whole family agreed that we will be returning next Autumn/Winter! Thank you to Pippa & Tom and all the Team for a truly delicious, entertaining and satisfying evening!

Feast Night!! We attended the feasting night based on local beef produced a few miles away. I was sent an email prior to the night with all the information we needed. Parking was easy with plenty of space, the feasting barn was well lit and only a short walk away. The service was brilliant and the food.. wow!! The beef was beautifully cooked with so much flavour. Each course was delicious and being a set menu made it even more exciting!! I highly recommend the feasting nights and hope to attend again. Thank you to Tom & Pippa.

We had the most delightful evening at one of the feast nights here - the food was incredible, the setting was so friendly and cosy, all the extras had been considered and Pippa and Tom were really welcoming. It was a lovely evening that I hope to repeat very soon. The views of the Mendip hills from Pennard Hill Farm are stunning and also deserve a mention.

A little disappointing We visited Pennard Hill Farm for the first time on the 27th Jan 2024 for their Barn Feast event which we read about in Somerset life. We paid £50 per head which included a 3 course set menu based around beef from a near by farm. It didn’t include drinks. Venue: Looks to be a wedding venue, quite nice. Barn is small and the fire they base their promo around is not in the same room as you eat which was disappointing. On arrival you park in a horse field and have to find you way into what seems to be a side door in relatively low light. Wasn’t the grandest of entries. You eat upstairs in an attractive but rather empty and loud room. Food: Individual courses were good in isolation but as a 3 course meal it was extremely rich and meat heavy with little to no salad or veg. The photo depicts the beef “salad” which was almost entirely beef and followed by an extremely beef heavy ragu. Drink: We ordered a bottle of red wine which was nice and reasonably priced. We were not offered a hot drink at the end of the meal or with our dessert. I only found out at the end that our drinks menu had been miss printed and didn’t have the beers ciders and cocktails on the rear like others. Service: I feel this was the worst aspect of the eve. The barn was extremely full. As such servers couldn’t get to you so it was a case of passing meals down the table and empty plates back. Not really the dining experience we expected. There was no real welcome, explanation or presentation of the food and where it had come from and nothing really to suggest at the end, the evening was over. We just sat there until we figured it was the end. Like I said before, no coffee or tea was offered to finish the meal.

We stayed in a shepherds hut at this farm and it was insanely beautiful and quiet. My husband and I loved our 2 night stay.

We got married at Pennard Hill Farm in July 2023 and our guests are still talking about the beautiful location and how it was the best wedding food they've ever had! It was so special having our family and friends stay at the farm for the weekend and lots of our guests chose to stay in yurts which was so much fun. We can't thank Pippa, Tom and the team enough - they were so helpful in the planning process and over the weekend itself. All of the small touches - how the yurts are kitted out, the beautiful crockery, the disco light in the tipi, really added to the whole feel of the weekend. We are so pleased we had Tom cook for our staying guests on the Friday too - it was a great way to kick off the weekend and probably the best Paella we will ever have! We hope to go back to stay at the farm to celebrate our anniversary - it will always be a very special place for us and we really can't recommend it enough.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the tree tent for his 25th birthday- and our stay was nothing short of magical. The location, first and foremost, was just perfect, so serene and picturesque. The tent itself is SO cosy, complete with a wood burning stove- I recommend bringing your duvet and turning it into a proper den for your stay. The kitchen was fully kitted out l- although we ended up having his birthday dinner at a local pub as recommended by Pippa (The Manor House Inn) and had the most incredible food, so fresh and deliciously local. Bathroom was well kitted out and the outdoor shower was an amazing feature, we were sceptical at first but showering under the canopy of trees and hearing the birds was the perfect start to every day! The pool included in the stay topped off a perfect trip, gorgeous building and so much fun. The hospitality of Pippa, Debbie & Chris made our stay the perfect 10/10, would definitely recommend! Nearby activities: We spent one of our days at longleat, very close to the tree tent location and always a brilliant day out, before returning to the tent for a cosy evening roasting marshmallows around the fire. Food & drinks: We ate dinner at the Manor House inn and the food was just incredible- definitely check it out if you stay, and try the white chocolate cheesecake!

We had our wedding at Pennard on the 15th July and everything was absoloutley incredible everyone was so helpful we couldn't have asked for anything more. Tom did our wedding breakfast and evening food. Not only was he so helpful and came up with brilliant ideas right from the beginning but on the day the food was some of the best I've ever had. All of our guests were telling us it was the best wedding food that they have ever tasted as well. Tom was brilliant 100% recommend. Thankyou for making it a fantastic wedding.

We just had the best day of our lives. Our wedding day. It was absolutely picturesque - so so so perfect. It was worth every single penny. Pippa was so lovely, she was the perfect coordinator on the day just quietly making sure everything was ok. The accommodation everyone loved, we have big family’s so it was so nice to have a venue we could accommodate everyone. 2 days after and we’re all still going on about how brilliant it all was. We will all be back. Everyone felt so relaxed and like they’d really had a getaway which is just what you want to hear when hosting. I want to do it all over again!!!
